The Park City Music Festival is set to start its 27th season on July 11. Utah’s oldest continuously running classical music festival will be presenting some of the best known works from the chamber music repertoire, along with neglected gems. Festival directors Leslie Harlow, viola, and Russell Harlow, clarinet will perform, together with a number of popular festival artists. Among them are cellists Mark Kosower and Jeffrey Solow; violinist Monte Belknap; and pianists Michael Gurt and Doris Stevenson. Newcomers include violinist Walter Olivares; cellist Garrick Woods; and pianist Jee-Won Oh.
New this year are a number of free Monday evening outdoor concerts in Park City’s City Park Bandstand. Indoor concerts take place in Park City Community Church, U-224 at Bear Hollow Dr., and Temple Har Shalom, 3700 N. Brookside Court. There will also be several salon concerts during the festival at homes in and around Park City.
