The Spring Chamber Music Festival, a collaboration between the Park City Chamber Music Society and the music department of Utah Valley University, takes place next weekend. There will be two concerts and a salon concert.
Festival founders Leslie and Russell Harlow have invited guest cellist Tom Landschoot, to join them and UVU faculty members Serena Kanig Benish, soprano; Tyler Nelson, tenor; Justin Leslie, guitar; and Donna Fairbanks, violin. Local favorite Jed Moss, piano, rounds out the roster.
Among the works to be performed at the three-day festival are Luigi Boccherini’s Quintet for Guitar and String Quartet; Max Bruch’s Kol Nidre; Franz Schubert’s The Shepherd on the Rock; and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ On Wenlock Edge.
Tickets for the two concerts, on April 6 and 8, are $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors and students, and are available at the door.
There is a minimum donation of $40 for the salon concert on April 7. This is a reservation only event.
