The 8th annual Park City Film Music Festival gets underway today and runs through May 30. The festival will screen some 200 independent films at three major venues in Park City: the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St.; Prospector Theatre, 2175 Sidewinder Dr.; and the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave.
There are five different categories of film: narrative feature films; music documentaries; documentaries; short films; and performance/experimental art films. All films will be judged for their musical scores and awards handed out for best in each category at the end of the festival.

Tickets are available at the door and cost $10 for an individual screening and $30 for an unlimited day pass.
